Rain already weakening"
Good evening everyone,
The large area of rain to our south has weakened a bit. I am beginning to think we will only get a two to three county wide area of rain tonight. Let's see how this evolves and I will update the blog later this evening. Right now I am expecting about 1/4" to 1/2" out of this band. This is such a battle to get it to rain over our local area.

Yep!! We have missed out on rain down here too....recieved a good inch about 2 weeks ago but nothing but a sprinkle since. So I am hoping that this one holds together. Maybe we can shoot for Friday night to lay us all out with a good soaking of rain.

Gary, .25-.50 sounds good especially if we follow it up with another 1.0 in the next day or so, isn't that a possibility? I'm diggin' the opening day forecast, now all we need is a win! The sky is definetly lowering here in Olathe, let it rain! Peace out. Greg.

Greg,
It is coming! An inch of rain or more would be very nice!

Based on the radar on your site, it appears as though we could get some nice thunderstorms in the next few hours. I live in Johnson County, KS so it appears promising-right? We just laid new grass seed down and thus far the rain chances haven't been panning out for us! So bring on the rain!!

Erin,
Yes, it looks very good right now. Rain could last a few hours which would be a nice soaking. I should know for sure by the 10 PM newscast.
