MVP not the goal

By DUNN NEUGEBAUER
Cardinals superstar Albert Pujols downplayed his
MVP award earned in 2005.
"If I could cut it into 25 or 30 pieces and give it
to my teammates and coaches I would," he said. "That's
not your ultimate goal; the goal is the ring."
Pujols has had a split spring training - he played
on the Dominican Republican team in the WBC that
advanced to the semifinals.
"We didn't play as well as we should have, but at
least we didn't go out in the first round."
