WASHINGTON - If the 180,000 immigration protestors were looking to catch some members of Congress when they march here in the nation's capital today, they're outta luck.
Congress is in recess for the next two weeks.
President Bush, on the other hand, is in town and is expected to be at the White House all afternoon before heading to Missouri.
But come to think of it, the immigration protesters may be preaching to the choir.
Bush has long said he is for a guest worker program and was "ecstatic" to learn that the Senate had initially ironed out a compromise for the 12 million illegal immigrants in the country last week. That compromise later failed.
