Calling all callers

[ Go Back ]

Sick of the muck-filled Indian River Lagoon? Are you wanting Congress to pass a water bill already? A number of lobbying groups are urging Martin County residents and those anxious for the Water Resources Development Act to call Sen. Frist's office this Wednesday April 26th. (Don't have the number? We'll make it easy for you: 202-224-3344.)
Joining in on the lobbying push is Rep. Mark Foley, who has actively tried to push the legislation in Congress.
"For everyone that's called in and shown any interest in WRDA, we've asked them to call Frist's office," said Jason Kello, Foley's spokesman.
Just how many people are expected to call in? No one knows for sure. Stay tuned for a call-in tally.
