Congress is currently on a week-long recess, meaning your elected officials are back in the Sunshine State for a few days. Well, you ask, aren't they back in the district every week? Yes, most lawmakers do return to their districts every weekend to meet with constituents and see their families. They usually fly back into Washington late Monday or early Tuesday just in time for votes and hop a flight back to Florida late Thursday or early Friday. All this dizzying back and forth travel got us thinking...Do you think lawmakers should return to the district every weekend to attend constituent events? Or should they be required to stay up in Washington and get more done on the legislative side?
