The Glory of In-N-Out

[ Go Back ]

I have just returned from the National Association of Hispanic Journalists Conference in San Jose, Calif. While the conference was a great chance to learn some great new things about my industry, attend fantastic workshops and catch up with old friends, one of the best highlights was a quick side trip to In-N-Out burger.
Unless you have spent some time in California, there is a chance you might not know the glory of this burger chain. It's famous for its simple approach to its menu: burger, cheeseburgers, double cheeseburgers, fries and shakes. And I, along with throngs of others, love it. I make it a point to eat there every time I am near one. By the way, their burgers are messy, as the photo shows.
Being from the other side of the country, I have a list of restaurant chains that I am startving to see anywhere near the Treasure Coast.
Here are a few from my list:
Chipotle -- Burritos the size of a newborn baby. There is a couple in South Florida and a handful in Orlando. Every time I write about a new commercial development, I rally them to bring my Denver burrito chain here.
Noodles & Co. -- Another Denver fast-casual eatery, but it is so good. Penne Rosa with grilled chicken is the closest $7 to heaven.
Red Robin -- I think there might be one over on Florida’s West Coast. I could live on Clucks and Fries. My friends from home mocked me about my love for it.
With the Treasure Coast being a place filled with transplants, what restaurant do you wish was here?
