Argyle 38, Iowa Park 13 IOWA PARK - The Argyle Eagles' high-power spread offense proved to be too much for Iowa Park as they handed the Hawks a 38-13 defeat Friday night at Hawks Stadium. Argyle used the arm of quarterback J.J. Harp to erase an early Hawk lead on route to a 24-point outburst in the first half. The senior signal-caller was 8 of 14 for 148 yards in the first 24 minutes, connecting with senior wide receiver Brady Brown with a 22-yard scoring toss late in the second period. The Eagles also got two TDs from junior tail back Kyle Frizzell on runs of 30 yards and 8 yards. Iowa Park’s Richard Smoak scored on a 2-yard run midway through the first period to give the Hawks their only lead. The Eagles needed only three plays in the third quarter to add to their lead as Collin Mock scored from 1-yard out. Harp then connected with Brown for his second TD to round out the Argyle scoring. — Donnie Hammonds
