Archer City 13, Windthorst 6 ARCHER CITY - Archer City's Sam Smith took home two passes from Patrick Dayton for the Wildcats' two touchdowns Friday night in a 13-6 win over the Windthorst Trojans. A fake punt gave Windthorst a strong start in the game, when Bryce Humpert hit Brian Hoff with a 60-yard touchdown pass, but the Trojans weren’t able to put more points on the board after that. The Wildcats' Dayton passed for 128 yards during the game, including the touchdown passes of 30 and 10 yards. Friday night's District 9-A game left Archer City's record at 6-3 for the season and 2-2 in district, and placed Windthorst at 4-5 overall and 2-2 in district. A win for Windthorst Friday would have put the Trojans in the playoffs. Archer City 13, Windthorst 6

I live out of town so I may be completley wrong, but it seems to me that the 3 schools that make the playoffs could go a long ways. I feel bad for the one team that misses out by a hair. That team should load up and come to New Mexico and win the 5-A state championship. It is embarassing to watch a game here. I easily realized that the Texoma area in spoiled with great coaches/educators. thanks
