Caddo Mills 34, Henrietta 6

DENTON, Texas - Caddo Mill's Nathan Jeffrey had two rushing scores and an interception return as the Foxes defeated the Henrietta Bearcats 34-6 Friday night.

The Foxes remain unbeaten on the season at 12-0 and advance to the regional round of the Class 2A Division I playoffs. Henrietta finishes its season at 7-5.

Caddo Mills took control early in the first quarter when Eric Jeffery connected with Desmon Brigham on 43-yard TD strike to conclude an 11-play, 83-yard drive. In the same quarter, NathanJeffrey picked off Henrietta QB Seth Crumpton and took the ball 48 yards the other way for six.

After an Axle Pelt 91-yard romp to pay dirt, the Bearcats would finally get on the board when Crumpton plunged the ball in from 1 yard out. But Nathan Jeffrey would strike again, this time finishing off another 11-play drive with a 9-yard score on the ground to give Caddo Mills a 28-6 lead at the intermission.

Another Nathan Jeffrey run, this time from 1 yard out, would put the nail in the coffin as the Foxes’ running back finished his night with 95-yards on 15 carries, while Pelt went for 164 on 11 touches.

Crumpton led Henrietta on the ground with 95 yards on 20 attempts, while Chase Darnell caught two passes for 17 yards.

On the other side of the ball Erick Palacios led the Bearcats' defense with seven tackles and one sack, while Aaron Williams and Hayden Hollar finished with six and five tackles, respectively.
