Grandfield 34, Covington-Douglas 12

COVINGTON, Okla. - Grandfield's John Brown threw for two scores and ran in another as the Bearcats advance in the Oklahoma playoffs with a 34-12 win over Covington-Douglas Friday night.

Covington-Douglas struck first with a 33-yard run to give them a 6-0 lead in the first quarter. But that's when Brown got things going for the Bearcat offense with a 74-yard scamper to pay dirt, followed by a 14-yard TD strike to Blake Hammond in the third quarter. Brown had one more in the fourth on a 30-yard bomb to Rodney Robinson. Grandfield sealed the victory with two scores by Kelly Robinson on runs of 66 and 44-yards.

The Bearcats improve to 10-2 on the season.
