Moguls show no rust, crush Pirates 63-0 Donnie Hammonds Coming into Friday afternoon's playoff game with Collinsville the Munday Moguls were hoping to knock the rust off of their high-powered offense after a first-round bye. The layoff certainly didn't them hurt, however, as they amassed 512 yards and breezed past the Pirates 63-0. It was the second year in a row that Memorial Stadium had proved unfriendly for Collinsville, a 63-7 loser to Windthorst last year The Moguls were led by quarterback Steven Urbanczyk who passed for 172 yards and rushed for another 62. Urbanczyk was 6-of-8 8 passing with two touchdowns. His favorite target was senior B.J. Dockins, who had 4 receptions for 133 yards. Tailback Anason Jones added three rushing touchdowns in a game that saw Munday's starters only play three quarters. "The kids did a great job executing the game plan," head coach Patrick Corcoran said. "We're glad get to play another week and the kids worked hard for this one." Munday will take on the winner of the Meridian-Roscoe contest. It didn't take Munday long to get on the board, scoring on its first possession. The Moguls went 64 yards on just eight plays with Jones going the final five yards to pay dirt. Munday increased the lead to 14-0 in the early in the second quarter. Ubanczyk scored from 12 yards out as he outraced the Pirate defenders around right end. The score was set up by Marco Gonzalez's interception at the Collinsville 35. The Pirates then put together their best drive of the day. Collinsville marched all the way to the Munday 1-yard line, only to be denied on fourth down. Pirate tailback Ethan Williams was met in the backfield by a host of Mogul defenders and fumbled the ball with Munday taking over at its own 1. The Moguls needed only three plays to cover the 99 yards as Ubanczyk found Dockins over the middle with an 88-yard scoring strike and the rout was on. Three minutes later Munday went up 28-0 when Ubanczyk hit Caleb Collier from 10 yards out. Munday came out in the second half and never missed a beat, needing just four plays in the first six minutes of the second half to score 21 points. Jones went 38 yards on the first play from scrimmage, scoring his second touchdown. On the second possession, it took two plays with Dockins scoring from 56 yards out. Jones got his third rushing TD on Munday's next possession as he broke several tackles and scampered into the end zone from 19 yards out. The Mogul defense kept the Pirates' ground game in check for the entire game. Collinsville was held to just 99 total yards for the game and only one first down in the second half. Junior Rob Dillard led the Mogul defense as he had an interception, and he and Jones continually disrupted action in the Pirate backfield. Munday added 14 more points as backup tailback Kobie Decker ran in from 13 yards out and Gonzales finished the scoring with a 51-yard run. Dockins was the Mogul's leading rusher 92 yards on just six carries. Jones added 63 yards on five carries.
