Throckmorton 63, Spur 31

SPUR, Texas - Joe Davis had a huge game Friday night running for 270 yards and seven touchdowns helping the Throckmorton Greyhounds beat the Spurt Bulldogs 63-31 in 7-A Division I.

For the game Davis contributed to Throckmorton’s 287 yards on the ground on 26 carries.

Throckmorton finished with 58 yards through the air thanks to a 3-of-4 passing night from Brady Hogue. Hogue contributed to the bottom line with one touchdown toss.

Spur's quarterback Logun Timberlake killed the Greyhounds' defense with 16-of-23 passing for 190 yards and three touchdowns. The Bulldogs (4-6, 1-3) were only able to run the ball for 111 yards on 34 carries.

The Greyhounds improve to 7-3 for the season and 2-1 for district.
