Bowls, bowls, bowls

April 27, 2006

A little story from the NCAA on Thursday said there are 31 approved bowl games for upcoming college football season. That's the same number of games it'd take to complete a 32-team bracket.
You could have a 15-game tournament with 16 teams spread over 4-6 weeks.
I watched the Rose Bowl last year and a few minutes here and there of two or three lesser bowls.
But for the most part, I'd rather Christmas shop than watch what college football will deliver to my TV set.
Only when enough people tune out will college football gives sports fans a playoff.
