More Kicking: Rider vs. Boerne
April 15, 2006French composed with long ball bouncing to him. You'd think he'd have to be very excited.
Peoples may not be used to these minutes, but he's battling for everything in his area right now.
Guy Bigot enters match for Rider, replacing Casillas. 17 minutes into the match now.
Rider gets off first shot. A run by Fisher up the right side and nice pass to Peoples, who missed right. Boerne defense got there at last second.
WOW! Wild scramble, looked like players waiting for foul call. But Peoples stayed with it and got off a good shot that was saved by GK Denver Williams.
Hounds answer with a free kick from the offensive left side of the box. It leads to a header that was wide of the net by Scott Morgan.
Trey Ross gives Peoples a well-deserved break.
Rider's Gilbert Youngblood served a ball into the box that then bounded over the keeper, but defender Brian Connor saved a goal with an alert stop.
We're more than 25 minutes in now.
Justin Anderson just put some good offensive pressure on. Boerne counter, but played long all the way to French.
It's just a guess, but I think Rider may scored in the next 11 1/2 minutes. Their body language is good at this point. But you never know.
I have it 5-3 Boerne for shots, and 2-1 Hounds in shots-on-goal. But Rider has had more pressure.
Peoples returns for Trey Ross. Every since I said Rider might go score, they've been backed up in their defensive third.
First half is over.
