The fans were right

November 14, 2006

The fans and some media thought Tony Romo should have been starting all season.

Now, don't give them credit for knowing for sure that Romo would be as good as he's shown in his first three starts.

But the truth is -- the masses were right, Bill Parcells was wrong.

Wrong not to yank Drew Bledsoe after a sub-par season a year ago and certainly wrong not to pull the plug after the disaster in Philly.

If Parcells had put Romo in for the home rout of the Texas, there's a chance the Monday nighter with the Giants would have started better and finished differently.

Parcells knows more than all of us combined -- or at least that sounds like what he says on a weekly basis -- but just this time he would have been better off listening rather than ranting.
