My Turn

Since none of those scooters in the Sports Department will let me do it, this is going to have to be my avenue.
Here are my football picks of the week 1- high school:
1. Holliday vs. Windthorst = Windthorst in a big one
2. D.Hill-Jarvis vs. Hirschi = Hopefully Hirschi
3. Old High vs. Sweetwater = Old High, I like the new coach
4. Rider vs. Frenship = Frenship. Rider's playing with the "bigger" boys now. I hope they can pull it out

5. Decatur vs. Burkburnett = Even though it’s unlikely I'll vote against my alma-mater - Burk.
6. Iowa Park vs. Argly = I'll root for Iowa Park
7. Midland vs. Graham = Graham
.....
8. Pottsboro vs. Henrietta = Henrietta
9. Archer City vs. Muenster = I thought Muenster only had beer fests - Archer City.

Man this is tidious, and I'm not even 10 games in. Maybe I don't want to do it. How about a compromise?
I'll just pick the bigger games of the week, and some of the area teams that matter.

I'll show that rascally Sports Department.

And finally, just because I live there, I give my seal of approval to the City View Mustangs. They play next week, Sept. 8, but hopefully Coach Hicks can save the ship.
