Is My Baby Gay?
I ran across a lovely little article that was in today's newspaper about a Southern Baptist leader who suggests prenatal therapy to prevent homosexuality works.
I'll let that sentence sink in for a second....
You have got to be kidding me.
The article's lead paragraph states Rev. Albert Mohler Jr., president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary says "that prenatal treatment to reverse gay orientation would be biblically justified."
I don't remember reading in the Bible that mother's went to therapy while pregnant to insure their child did come out with a rainbow-y gust.
This guy has got to be crazy.
I look at my little one and ask that question, but in the end does it matter. I don't want the little guy to be a homosexual, but I'm not going to stop him.
It will probably dig deep in my skin. I have no idea how I would react, because most people don't start looking at for sexual acceptance until they're in junior high/high school.
So at least I have a couple of years.
The article states that "sexual orientation could be detected in unborn babies and raised the question of whether parents - even liberal who support gay rights - might be open to trying future prenatal techniques that would reverse homosexuality."
This guy must have been dropped on his head as a baby.
I don't really understand his point. It's not like the world is a bad place because of homosexuals.
They do their thing and the rest do theirs.
Maybe Mohler's mom should have endured through some "prenatal treatment."
