Men's Makeup
June 12, 2007What's the deal America? Men wearing makeup? Are we collective guys actually primping with Cover Girl?
Tell me it ain't true. I would rather wear my own blood then wear makeup, unless I was going on TV of course.
I heard this little story on ESPN this morning. It struck me as odd that the guy’s guys’ channel would touch on such a topic, but maybe they were desperate?
The story, I guess, came from Forbes magazine. Something about you have to have money to wear it, I'm not sure. But I plan on getting to the bottom of this potential disaster.
Here's the link

You read the story and tell me what you think.
The show on ESPN tired to play future hindsight and compare the potential makeup has in a future society. The compared it to the some of the biggest trends to change a gender's approach to dating, mainly.
Makeup on guys only works if you're in a band, in a Halloween costume or on TV. That's it. It worked for Brandon Lee, in "The Crow," but that was cool. He inspired a nation of Halloween costumes.
I just can't see making makeup work. It's made for women. Guys are supposed to be guys. I know a couple guys have that acne scaring, they might use it, but that's about it. Some kids in high school, who have pizza face could use it, but that's what girls have makeup for as teenagers.
Next thing you know well starting talking about banana hammocks or briefs!?. I really hope we don't come to this conversation anytime soon.
