Fighting the Sick
February 01, 2007I hate being under the weather.
Hate isn't really a stong enough word for it actually. There are only a handful of things in this world that I loathe more than when my body decides it's time to malfunction.
I think it's a cold...it's probably the same cold thing that's been going around and making headlines.
Faaaaaaaantastic.
It's one of those scratchy throat, runny nose, sinus pressure and headache sort of things...from pretty much the moment I wake up in the morning until I am completely unconcious and in bed.
I hate this. I hate feeling sick. My mom hates it when I'm sick because I'm usually very tempermental (usually because I hate being sick).....OR.
It will get bad enough to require medical attention and then I'm generally useless.
The worst part is...it's annoying. The constant "productive" coughing....gross.
That's a phrase that my respitory therapist sister uses. And I do know what it means and what it means for my body to be spraying funk and gunk out of my lungs.
It doesn't make it fun.
Oh well...time to pop a few more pills, although I'm honestly not even sure if that's helping at all.
