Meat market

May 25, 2009

I guess I'm officially a New Yorker now. I have a crush on my butcher.

Yesterday, I bought a pound of sliced turkey, a pound of sliced roast beef, some chicken breasts AND some ground turkey, all because I didn't want to leave the meat counter. Oh, and when he asked me if I needed anything else, I said, "Nope. That's all. I can only eat so much BY MYSELF! (I wanted to let him know that I was single, of course.)

I don't know his name. I'm guessing he's Italian. There's just something about him, maybe just the fact that he's surrounded by all that meat, I don't know. But I'm in full-blown crush.

I'm in protein/iron overload right now, but I've got to hurry up and eat what's in my fridge before I can make another trip to the butcher.
