Sex and the City - A Must See
June 3, 2008Ladies if you haven't gone to see
the Sex and the City movie yet, what are you waiting for?! Go get
CARRIED away!!! My sisters and girlfriends and I have always been addicted to the show.
We're such crazy loyal fans that we didn't wait a second longer than we absolutely had to and watched the Thursday midnight showing before the Friday opening. Two hours and twenty two minutes at midnight might seem insane when I have to be at work at 8 am the next day, but honestly I didn't want it to end. I LOVED it! The show has always been an escape for me. When I watch it I forget about the every day stresses of work, relationships, and life in general. That's what makes a good TV show, movie, or novel. The ones you love so much it's almost like you lose yourself in it. Over the years I've laughed with them, cried with them, and celebrated with them. I saw myself in each of the characters (well maybe not so much Samantha....but we all know a Samantha!) and could relate to what was happening with them in the show. I think I'm more of a Charlotte. I've always been optimistic, always seeing the glass half full. And I think every girl has had their heart broken by their very own Mr. Big. But if you're lucky, like Carrie, you have fabulous girlfriends to get you through. I'm fortunate enough to have mine.
So this is a thank you to all of the wonderful women in my circle of friends. You have all touched my life in so many ways! My best friend Stephanie sent me one of those forwards at work the other day and it said, "A girlfriend is never farther away than needing her can reach." I have found this to be true time after time. Now go watch the movie if you haven't. In the company of Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha, it'll feel like a fun girls night out!

THE WRONG DAVID WON
May 22, 2008
The wrong David won last night. I was so hopeful for an Archuleta win that I was crushed when it didn't happen.
I met up with my friend Erin who was cheering on her Lakers last night so I wouldn't have to sulk in my loss alone.
Erin always does a good job of cheering me up
J I now know how die hard sports fans feel after their favorite team does good all season long only to lose when it matters the most. I've never been a big sports fan, unless you count WWE wrestling a sport J so I never felt the disappointment of a good season coming to an end after a loss in the finals. Until last night. Archuleta had an amazing season with consistent beautiful performances and smashed Cook on Tuesday night. The judges were so sure he was the winner and so was I. No worries though. The shy and sweet boy wonder has already won by making it that far. He's young, talented and adorable, he will no doubt have a successful career. I'm already looking forward to his album J
Since I am in the business of selling advertising, I just LOVED the Guitar Hero commercials! How cute J

Team Archuleta
May 21, 2008I'll let you in on a little secret.....I know the winner of David vs. David. If you are an American Idol junkie like I am and watched last night's performance then you know who the winner is too... ARCHULETA of course!
Hands down! I knew it from the beginning, but last night my boy sealed the deal with his amazing performance of Elton John's "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" (I'm a HUGE Elton fan as well, so I was in heaven!) He is so talented with such an amazing voice. I get goose bumps every time I listen to him sing "Imagine." And his reaction to the judge's compliments was so humble, I honestly teared up myself! J He is just so sweet! I have been an Idol fan since the beginning, but I have never once voted. Last night, I voted three times! I'm smitten with this boy! And I'm not even a "teenybopper." But I was big time growing up. I was one of those screaming girls crazy over my favorite boy band (a group called Take That--England's version of the New Kids on the Block). When Archuleta sang "Stand by Me" it took me back to that time in my life. He seemed like a perfect boy band member during that song when he sang to all the girls in the front row reaching out to him. I might even be one of those girls this summer when the Idols go on tour. I checked the dates online and they'll be in Dallas in August. My husband just looked at me like I was crazy when I told him he would have to take me (he is by no means an Idol fan). I'm going to a Coldplay concert for him was my argument (which is a little unfair because I do love Coldplay haha) I can't wait to tune in tonight and see little David take the win!! Now I just wonder what I'm going to do on Tuesday and Wednesday nights to fill the void Idol will leave me with after the finale....(photo courtesy of AmericanIdol.com)
