A long time gone

It's been over a year and I'm BAAAACCCKK. My wedding and the resulting chaos totally destroyed most of 2008 for me and I'm just now recovering, half-way through 2009!
As an aside, (and I'm sure I'll never hear the end of this one) I also forgot my user name and password for my blog. I finally broke back into it today to find comments from scary shadow-user types for buying Viagra and contributing to starving children funds. Please stop 'commenting' on my blog! I'm not going to OK your request for free advertising, even if you are going to "help" all the needy children in the world with the US $1,000 you are going to try to draft out of my bank account. And good luck finding $1,000 in my bank account!
Back to the matters at hand-I'm walking the Jubilee Christian Center's Firecracker 5K next Saturday in Burkburnett! I was on a great training schedule from Active.com but I slacked off a bit in the last week, so I'm hoping to step up my game as it were in the final days before the race. I am definitely NOT thinking about winning, or even placing. I just want to cross that finish line in a respectable fashion. Look for me if you're out there on July 4, I'll be the one sporting some patriotic wear and smiling as the real racing types pass me by in a cloud of dust. As long as you enjoy the journey, it really shouldn't matter when you make your destination!
