My, that's odd - Volume I
May 19, 2009I've said it before and I'll say it again -- I love XM Radio!
However, since all I listen to is sports radio, I'm a little behind on what's hot music-wise these days.
My MP3 player is a tribute to old songs with just about every genre of music represented from George Strait (All My Exes Live in Texas) to T-Pain (Buy U a Drank).
Somewhere in the middle lies Jennifer Lopez' 2001 hit "Aint that Funny" featuring one the strangest rap hooks I've ever heard from none other than Ja Rule, who's been laying low for the past few years -- that is, as far as I know.
Anyway, his chorus goes, Baby, is that your girlfriend? I got my boyfriend, maybe we can be friends..."
What?
I've heard men use the terms "my boy" or "my friend," but never heard a dude combine the two before that infamous line.
My, that's odd...
